About Tracey

My Reiki journey started during my early 20’s. I was introduced to healing & Reiki by a lady I was doing voluntary work for, who soon became a very good friend of mine. She opened the door that allowed me to start exploring my spirituality, that up until then I thought was the domain of mainstream religion.

At this point in my life I was still finding my way, but I kept hearing about Reiki & discovering people who were Reiki healers themselves.

After a course of treatments I took because I wasn’t feeling ‘right’, I realised that we all have the potential to be healers & that we all have the ability to heal ourselves.

After taking a year off to go travelling I knew, with encouragement from the right people, that this was something I wanted to be able to do for myself.

I was searching for my path & I was being pointed in the direction of Reiki.

I took my First & Second Degree Reiki with Sandra Straw in London in 2003.

It wasn’t until I moved to York later that year that I became fully aware of the positive effects Reiki could have. I discovered a wonderful body, mind & spirit shop on Gillygate with a wonderful Reiki healer called Satya Lane. Through several courses of treatments, attending many Reiki shares & with Satya’s constant support, I decided I was ready to embark on my Master/Teacher training with Satya here in York in March 2005.

This was to prove a major turning point & many profound changes have occurred in my life since then. I have been able to realize my potential & to accept myself for who I really am - warts & all!

Reiki has given me the ability to cope with the many challenges that have, & still come my way, & I feel privileged to be able to pass this gift on to others.

Whilst I have trained to Master level, I feel that rather than me having mastered Reiki, Reiki has mastered me!

I am still on my journey & look forward to helping you with yours.
