There are various ‘types’ of Reiki & many different lineages. The Reiki that I teach integrates the original Japanese teachings of Mikao Usui with the Western treatment based style of working.

With my courses you will learn many valuable techniques that will enhance your practice of Reiki, including energy exercises, healing meditations & intuitive working.

You will be ‘connected’ to Reiki by powerful & graceful Reiju empowerments that reflect the original method of teaching.

There are 3 levels of Reiki training & knowledge is passed from teacher to student, who may become a teacher themselves & the cycle starts over.

All courses have a home study element. You will receive your pre-course study pack, which consists of a comprehensive manual & audio CD’s, in advance with full instructions.


You can read your manual & listen to the CD’s at your leisure, in the comfort of your own home. You will arrive on the day already knowing a great deal about Reiki & we can focus on the practical side of the course.

Most Reiki students receive their manuals on the day of their course so they have much more to take in - my courses are more relaxed & will allow you to work for longer with the energy.

1st Degree Reiki - Shoden

You will receive 3 Reiju empowerments that will enable you to channel Reiki for yourself - you will have this ability for life after your 1st empowerment.

You will learn how to work with energy, practice self treatment & energy meditations, & learn how to give a Reiki treatment.

2nd Degree Reiki - Okuden

You will receive a further 3 empowerments that will enable you to channel more Reiki than at First Degree level.

You will learn the 3 Second Degree symbols & their mantras, which will make your practice of Reiki even more effective.

You will also learn an intuitive technique called ‘Reiji Ho’, & become competent at distant healing & experiencing oneness.

Reiki Master/Teacher level - Shinpiden

You will receive further empowerments that will fully open your energy system to Reiki - you will notice a significant increase in the flow of the healing energy.

You will learn the Master symbol (among others) & sacred Shinto mantras (Kotodama) to enable you to heal yourself & others at a soul level. Your intuition will be enhanced & you will learn how to pass the Reiki ability onto others.

Advanced Reiki Training to begin in Spring 2008

  • For those who wish to deepen their knowledge & practice of Reiki, but don't yet wish to become teachers.
  • Learn advanced Reiki techniques & meditations & receive a Master/Practitioner certificate.

Course Fees

Shoden - £140.00.
This includes tuition, 170 page manual, 2 audio CD’s, your certificate & support pack. Please click here to download a Shoden booking form.

Okuden - £170.00.
This includes tuition, 110 page manual, audio CD, your certificate & support pack. (if you haven’t studied with me before I will need to see your Reiki 1 certificate - you will also receive the Shoden pre-course pack to study). Please click here to download an Okuden booking form.

Shinpiden - £480.00
This includes tuition, 240 page manual, 2 audio CD’s, DVD, your certificate & support pack. (if you haven’t studied with me before I will need to see your certificates - you will also receive the Shoden & Okuden pre-course packs to study). If you have already trained with me to level 2 you may study Shinpiden for £450.00.

Venue

All courses are held on a Sunday at The Zentist, 76 Gillygate, York, YO31 7EQ.
Otherwise by arrangement.

A £70.00 deposit is required to secure your place (£120.00 for Shinpiden) & is non refundable & non transferable. If you cancel & wish to re-book a £40.00 re-booking fee is required. May I suggest you take out your own insurance to cover this.

Payment is by cash or cheque with bankers card.

Times

The courses start at 10am & finish at approximately 5.30pm.
The Shinpiden course starts at 9.30am & finishes at approximately 6.30pm.

Student Support

After your Reiki course I offer much in the way of support:

  • I am available by e-mail or at The Zentist - feel free to call me or pop in for a chat.
  • I hold regular Reiki shares on the 3rd Monday of each month. They are free of charge & donations are accepted for charity – please book to come along.
  • You will be invited to join an internet discussion group – chat with people who have done the same training as you.
  • You will have access to updates for your manuals – free of charge.
  • You can receive distant Reiju empowerments every day of the week!


Workshops

I hold regular workshops to enable students of Reiki to practice their skills & learn new techniques & meditations.
